The Equal Footing Foundation was founded to encourage and facilitate corporate efforts to give back to the community. The Foundation specifically looks for community initiatives based in Northern Virginia that include technology as an important component in their mission with the goal of ensuring current advances in technology reach the community.

 In March 2001, the NVTC Foundation was launched as a charitable foundation to support community outreach initiatives that help bridge the "digital divide" and improve the lives of Northern Virginians through technology.
MISSION : The Equal Footing Foundation was founded to encourage and facilitate corporate efforts to give back to the community. The Foundation specifically looks for community initiatives based in Northern Virginia that include technology as an important component in their mission. The Equal Footing Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

GOALS : To ensure that current advances in technology reach all sectors of the community and help to improve the lives of children and adults in this region. The Equal Footing Foundation also wants our community to recognize that the technology industry in this region has a firm commitment to community service.

PROJECTS : Examples of successful projects that the Foundation has supported are - Computer Club Houses; Botball; Suspension Program; VA Space Flight Academy; Make-A-Wish; Job Shadow Day; TechTalk; Bannister Scholarship and more.
